I am Tisha Textor aka Tisha Tex.
I'm an eccentric, bubbly stylist by day and a crocheting goblin by night. Did I mention I am a mom of two wild young boys, all around the clock? I met my rad hubby online a decade ago… when it wasn’t as trendy but still very efficient!
Born and raised right here in Victoria BC, which makes me a bit of a unicorn.
I took a 3-year break from the Island; "we were on a break!" (Ross Geller-Friends) while I attended Vancouver Film School and graduated in Makeup Design for film and television during my young adult days. I could not stay away for long... I returned to Victoria during a fun Sephora career, acting as the Education Lead. Those who know me, know I continue to drink the Sephora kool-aid. However, I had to move on to my true calling; HAIR!
My mother has been a stylist for as long as I can remember and I just could not keep away.
I attended and graduated from the Aveda institute, where I drank some more kool-aid (more like the Aveda tea.) I soon after joined the Kharma team where I spent nearly 10 years of the hair career. My success in this career launched full force due to all the support from my like minded friends and mentors!
Here we are. I am opening up my first salon after being a independent stylist for a short stint. My supportive Hubby and I bought a wonderful piece of Victoria history downtown... We went for it. Truth is, I am winging it with all the enthusiasm and optimism as per usual. I'm so jazzed for you to experience the new space with nothing but great vibes.
